Top Leader Basic Training Day is an opportunity to train the top unit leaders of packs and troops (Cubmasters and Scoutmasters). All top leaders must be trained before their charter is submitted.
The online registration fee is $5 ($1.50 online registration fee included) or $5 at the door. Class sizes are limited. Available materials will be based on pre-registration numbers. Registration will be open online until December 4, 2018. After registration closes, participants may register in person on the day of the event, if space is available.

*Cubmasters and Scoutmasters also need to complete Hazardous Weather Training (online at my.scouting.org). Scoutmasters also need Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills to be fully basic-trained.
Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster Position-Specific Training
The Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster Position-Specific Training course is intended to provide Cubmasters and assistant Cubmasters with the basic information they need to conduct successful pack meetings. The training takes about two and a half to three hours to complete and can also be taken online.
Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training
Scoutmaster Position-Specific Training is intended to provide troop leadership with the information and tools they need to lead successful troops. Scoutmasters and assistants who complete this training, Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, and Youth Protection training are considered trained. The training takes about four and a half hours to complete and can also be taken online.
Venturing Advisor Position-Specific Training
Venturing Advisors can take Venturing Advisor Position-Specific Training online. This training provides participants with an introduction to the responsibilities, opportunities, and resources that will ensure a successful Venturing crew leadership experience. The training takes about three and a half hours.
